Show Rules &
Information

Shows held December through March, formal
show attire not required, chaps are permitted.
-
The show is held in accordance with the
rules of the VHSA Associate Program.

ECHSA is not responsible
for submitted or mailed entries and/or fees not received prior to day of show.

Entries may be downloaded, emailed, snail mailed or submitted on line in
accordance with #5.

Class and Division fees shall be as follows:
-
Individual Classes & Warm ups are $20
-
Members who pre-enter and pre-pay, divisions are $35
each.
-
Members who enter and pay day of show, divisions
are $40 each.
-
Non-members who either pre-enter and pre-pay or
pay day of show, divisions are $45
each.
-
Stalls are available at cost of $20 for the day,
an additional $25 for overnight. Requests must be included with entry form.
Bedding is supplied.

Please make checks payable to ECHSA. Open checks are permitted for day of show.
- No refunds for scratches.
Entries and payment may be placed in envelope and put in
black mail box located just inside main entrance to ECETC facilities.
We reserve the right to refuse any entry, to ban any
person or animal from the show grounds, to change the time schedule, to
combine classes or change the judge at any time.
ECHSA Hunter Challenge class will consist of a course of
fences in which the horse and rider combo are given a score. The top 8
competitors will be called back in for a second test provided by the
judge (may be over fences or under saddle). Points will be awarded for
this class as follows: 7 points for 1st, 5 for 2nd, 4 for 3rd, 3 for
4th, 2 for 5th and 1 point for 6th. Horse and rider combinations must
compete in at least 4 challenge classes to be eligible for the final
award. Prize monies to be awarded to top 3 Horse/Rider combination at
the end of the show season. Monies to be split as 50%, 35% and
15%. Competitors may compete as many horses as desired.
Six ribbons will be awarded for
division including Championship and
Reserve.
Approved protective headgear must be worn at
all times while mounted on show grounds.
The Judge's decision
is final.
Horse Show Management's decisions concerning any aspect of the horse
show will be final.
All dogs must be on a
leash at all times and away from the courses.
Cell phones must be
on vibrate mode or turned off and are not permitted inside the show ring.
Schooling must be supervised by trainer and/or
adult.
After 3 refusals, exhibitor is
required to exit the ring.
Jumper competitors may inspect the course on
foot prior to the commencement of the jumper division.
Jumper competitors who are tied for other than
first place will be placed according to the
time taken to complete the course.
You must show a legible copy of your current Coggins and it
must show Negative or you will not be admitted to the show grounds per
VA Law. If the copy is not legible, it will not be accepted.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
Condition of Entry: Participants realize and accept the inherent risks of equine activities.
Every horse entered for competition will be under the control of Show
Management but Management will in no case be responsible for any loss or
damage that may occur, and it shall be a condition of entry that each
exhibitor shall hold the Show, the Management, and the Facility harmless for
any loss or accident to his or her horse, horses, or equipment which may
occur from sickness, fire or otherwise.
Management reserves
the right to interpret all questions and conditions in regards to or arising
out of an incident at the show without claims for damages or recourse of any
kind. All questions not covered in these rules and regulations shall be
decided by Management, and their decision is final. Management reserves the
right to cancel or combine classes or to reschedule classes. Discourtesy to an official by any
spectator, rider, trainer or groom will disqualify the horse or horses with
which they are associated and all fees are forfeited.
East Coast Horse Show Association scoring
for this event:
1st = 5pts 2nd = 3pts
3rd = 2pts 4th = 1pt
Champion will receive an
additional 10 points and Reserve Champion an additional 6.
ECHSA Hunter Challenge scoring for this event:
1st = 7pts 2nd = 5pts
3rd = 4pts 4th = 3pts 5th = 2pt 6th = 1pt

Non-member pricing per divisions is $45.
Members who
Pre-enter and pre-pay get a $10 discount and pay just $35 a
division -
Members who enter and pay day of show get a $5 discount and pay just $40 a
division
All individual Classes & Warm ups are $20
Medal Class & ECHSA
Hunter are $25
We accept checks, Visa and Master Card.

$20 for each show day and an additional $25 for each

You will need to provide your own feed.
Hay is available for a nominal
fee.
Bedding is provided.
There is an automatic watering system in each stalls.
ECETC facilities include:
7 wash stalls with hot/cold running
water,
Comfort stall flooring

Sprinkler System
and a GREAT STAFF!
