Member Points
We try our best to have all points tallied and posted on line prior to the next show. Member points are accrued toward the Year-End Awards Celebration in accordance with the VHSA point system.
Points awarded may be accrued based on membership and division placement. You may accrue points with the ECHSA, VHSA and Marshall & Sterling League by placing in the top 6 of the appropriate divisions. In other words, you must be a member of one or all of the above listed Horse Show Associations or League and successfully compete in a sanctioned division in order to also accumulate points with them.

History of the ECHSA
ECHSA membership began with our December 28, 2005 show. Membership is not just for the local area, but for anyone interested in competing in horse shows. You do not need to be a member to show at one of our shows! Our shows are held at the East Coast Equestrian Training Center, Inc. show grounds. Click here to go to their site to learn more about the ground and ECETC.
Our shows are Virginia Horse Show Association (VHSA) Associate Rated and we abide by their rules and regulations. The VHSA "Associate" Program provides a vehicle for regional and local Hunter/Jumper horse shows and their exhibitors to participate in a VHSA Year-end Awards Program and a year-end Championship Horse Show (VHSA Associate Championship Horse Show).
We have a wonderful group of members. We listen to their suggestions and critiques and as a result our shows have grown while retaining the supportive and competitive fun in local horse shows. This is echoed from vendors and judges about how great it is to see competitors being supportive of each other.
From time to time the ECHSA offers theme based shows, which may include awarding holiday and seasonal gift bags to division champions along with awards, trophies and ribbons. Starting in 2009 and continuing this show season, anyone winning a first place ribbon will be able to select a prize from the prize table!
