I am a member and have not been
getting my emails with the prize list?
Be sure the settings
in your computer will allow mail from us to come through. Check your
settings and make sure it accepts mail from echsa.com. If you need
to verify
your email address or need to update it just send email to
admin@echsa.com or see Jackie at any of the shows.
Points received at a show are
posted on the website within days of the show. Why does it take longer for
the year-end
points to be posted?
Our membership grows with each show. The new members
begin accumulating points the day we receive their membership form. Their
points are added to the existing year-end standings.
The points are posted prior to the next show.
I am a new member. Will
my points from the previous shows be added to the year end points?
If you join ECHSA during a show day, your
points from that show will count toward your year-end points. If you
join between shows and showed at the last show, those points will also
count toward your year-end points. Points from previous shows will
not be included.
How did some get such high
scores so fast?
Any member who won
Champion or Reserve for a given division also earns an additional 10 or 6
points respectively. These bonus points are only displayed on the year-end
points.
I was in the show and got a
2nd, 1st and 3rd. I do not see my points on the year-end page.
You must be an ECHSA
member and have earned at least one point to have points placed on the year-end points page.
I showed in the Baby Green Pony division. Why isn't my name listed with the
pony and owner for Year-end points?
Riders earn points toward year-end for all
equitation divisions. Horses and their owners earn points in all other
Hunter and Jumper divisions.
I am a member and have a
suggestion for an upcoming show. How do I submit it?
Members have the best suggestions! If you have a suggestion, please send
it to suggestions@echsa.com for consideration.
Why
do you need a copy of my horse's Coggins? What is it anyway?
Coggins in veterinarian terms is called Equine Infectious Anemia or EIA.
Since it is a viral disease, there is no vaccine and no known cure.
Horses can infect each other by standing close enough for a simple horsefly
to bite the infected one and then bite the next one. It is such a
serious concern the Commonwealth of Virginia passed a law about it. The
ECHSA prefers all horses be safe.
I am a member and rode in the last show. Why is my barn's name on the Year-end
page instead of mine?
Some divisions tally for the horse and owner
points, some divisions, tally just for the rider. Apparently, the horse must belong to your
barn. If you are leasing that horse and indicated that on your
membership form when you joined, then you would be considered the "owner" as
per USET guidelines and your name would be listed as the owner. If you are not the owner or the lessee, then your
name would not appear.
